Dr Rangarajan Gopalakrishnan who has a masters and PhD in English Language and Literature, has been active in the field of training students, professionals and teachers in Communication Skills especially soft skills.  He has developed Modules related to effective communication/motivation to achieve the intended
outcome. He has been a part of the self enrichment programme for the first year B.Tech students of IIT Delhi, NIT Calicut and Surathkal and MBBS students of AIIMS Delhi, since 2009.He has been training college teachers as part of the FLAIR programme,Orientation Programmes at Academic Staff Colleges, University of Kerala, University of Calicut and MG University since 2010 besides being a regular resource person for Walk With a Scholar programme, and workshops for school /college students and teachers for over 10 years.  He has all along been effectively using theatre skills to impart body language, voice modulation helping in the journey from ‘diffidence’ to ‘confidence’. He has over 40 years of teaching and training experience in Govt. Colleges, especially Maharajas’ College Ernakulam from where he retired as the Head of the Department. This includes a 7 year stint in the College of Technology, Salalah, Oman and King Saud
University, Riyadh. He has been a resource person for many regional, national and international seminars and conferences and he has a few publications and translations to his credit including his English Poems published in various anthologies. He has also been regularly contributing episodes to All India Radio, Kochi FM on English Matters. He has lectured in Youngsan University in Busan and Hankuk University, Seoul, in South Korea. In Rajagiri he teaches Business communication and Managerial Communication and Business Ethics for PGDM, MHRM and MBA programmes.
